Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toniz Collins, also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the US as well as Mexico, is an American-Mexican sportscaster. She anchors SportsNation and is an anchor for SportsCenter anchor. She was hired by ESPN as a news anchor in the year 2016. She's the daughter of TV reporter Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bilingual and has been since when she was nine years old. This skill helped her to get her first job at Univision, Miami. She could work alongside national producers on shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. In St. Petersburg, she was then hired by the CBS station as the sports reporter. In 2009, she relocated to Texas in the Rio Grande Valley where she was a news reporter on KNVO TV 48 Univision. Covering stories on trafficking in drugs and immigration on both sides of the Texas-Mexico border, she worked as a reporter on five minutes of the p.m. Spanish newscast a anchor and reporter for anchoring the 9 p.m. news in English as well as another reporter for the 10 p.m. Spanish newscast. Also, she was a substitute for sports anchors and weather forecasters. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She wrote pieces on the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She produced Univision 23 Accion Deportiva Extra as anchor. She worked as the sports anchor of Despierta America Deportes morning show. The same role, she worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents were originally native to Veracruz Mexico. The city of Mexico City she was conceived on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. The family moved to Miami after relocating from Mexico into the US. In 1992, the couple divorced and shortly afterward in 1995 she got married again Fabio Fajardo, an engineer in the naval sector who died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. She stayed in Canton Ohio with her older sister in the summertime and was provided with an opportunity to work. As a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to examine if it was a good fit for her preferences. In the end, she fell in love with the university. The university offered her an academic major. Following her graduation from her high school education, she chose to attend the University with a major with Media Studies. The professor she had was Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of her class, developed a lasting relationship with her. His passion for journalism and her self-confidence instilled confidence in her. She in turn, tried to meet the standards he set and to not fail him.
